Columbus Day Parade in Little Italy

We took L to the Columbus Day parade in Little Italy on Monday. He loved all the marching bands. He even tried to join one…silly guy! L also met slider and got a high five!

There were a lot of political groups walking in the parade campaigning.  We were shocked by how much candy they hand out at the parade. But now we have some sweet treats for the adults in the house!

Shaker Lakes

We had a great time at shaker’s lake on the sunny fall day. We walked around the lower lake; saw a turtle sunning itself and a blue heron.  L liked looking at the fish in the lake.

Botanical Garden

L and I went to the botanical garden last Thursday. We attempted to go to the story time they offer in the tree house in the children’s garden. However, L wasn’t interested in sitting for a story. Instead he ran around the garden for three hours. He enjoyed playing in the tree house, playing with the shovels and watering cans, playing in the little house and saying hi to the turtle names Heidi.

I am excited to take him back on the next sunny day.
